Tell the manager whether photographs, a proposal or dinner should coincide with the light. Ask for a departure recommendation for your date and route.
Prepare early
Have the main participants ready before the expected photo opportunity. Light and cloud conditions vary, so leave flexibility for the photographer and crew.
Keep a second plan
The experience should still work without a dramatic sunset. Good food, comfortable seating and the city views can carry the evening on their own.
