Ask about stairs between zones and whether guests will spend time together or split into smaller groups. Multiple decks can be attractive but may complicate service and conversations.

Look at usable shelter

Check where the group can sit away from direct sun or wind. Request current photographs with covers in their normal operating position, rather than relying on a dramatic exterior image.

Choose by activity

For a meal, prioritise the dining arrangement. For socialising, look for a welcoming shared area. The right layout should support the day you actually want.
